Brett Border is the firms lead bankruptcy attorney. Brett has focused his practice on bankruptcy law for over 12 years. He has worked as both debtor’s and creditor’s counsel as well as for the Chapter 13 Trustee in the Eastern District of Michigan.

Brett is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Consumer Bankruptcy Association, and a participant on the Mortgage Modification Committee. He is an editor for the local Consumer Bankruptcy Newsletter and has authored several articles on bankruptcy law. He is an active participant of industry organizations, participating on planning committees for conferences and presented at the American Bankruptcy Institute's Veterans Day Conference.

Brett received his Juris Doctor from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. He has been an adjunct professor at Madonna University since 2011 where he teaches Introduction to Bankruptcy for the paralegal program.
